Imagine this… you have a 2 node cluster setup and you are using ZFS for storage. You decide “I want to enable IT Mode on your H710 mini so the drives show up correctly and you can see the S.M.A.R.T. data.”
Well you are in luck! Jon Sands has an amazing walkthrough of how to preform the flashing
https://fohdeesha.com/docs/perc.html
Part 1
Besure to move all your VMs to the node you are NOT flashing This will wipe your existing RAID config
To sum up his process.
You need 2 USB flash drives. 1G in size is plenty.
Download the Jons Dell Perc Flashing ZIP
. Then extract it and use Rufus to write the 2 ISOs to each USB flash drive.
Start with the FreeDOS USB and run the commands from his walkthrough.
Move on to the Linux USB and preform the flash and set your SAS ID back.
You are done.. Extremely painless and Proxmox will see the disks
Part 2
But what about your Proxmox ZFS…. well its time to restore your disks to a workable state.
Access your Proxmox interface and navigate to the server your just flashed. Select Disks.
You may see that all the drives are unusable

You will need to select each one and wipe it. This will removed the old RAID config and allow it to be usable/available again.

Now recreate your ZFS shares exactly the way they were before with the same disks.

Enable your pool and away you go.
