Proxmox + TrueNAS

I’ve made some updates to my lab setup. I’ve added a TrueNAS server to handle backups and media storage. This addition helps offload data from the Proxmox servers and keeps the environment more organized.

TrueNAS Server Specs:

• Motherboard: Generic AMD3 socket board
• Memory: 16GB DDR3
• Storage: 6 x 4TB drives
• Storage Controller: LSI SAS controller
• Network: 1Gb NIC (upgrade to 10Gb planned)

I’ve configured datasets on the TrueNAS server and shared them via NFS with the Proxmox cluster. Current shares include Backups and ISOs.

The Proxmox servers are scheduled to back up all VMs weekly to the mounted backup share.
